Episode No. 60 Napping Is Self Care Too
For the past couple of weeks, I have been super distracted. I've been trying my hardest to be productive and get the dream work done, but lately, it ain't happenin' captain! I've tried everything to get my head back in the game. From apps to coworking with friends at coffee shops. Nothing has been working. That is until I mistakenly fell asleep for a full 90 minutes in the middle of the day. I wasn't supposed to but I am so glad that I did. I woke up feeling completely restored, renewed and re-energized! My focus was back, I got a ton of work done and a wave of creativity washed over me. Why hadn't I incorporated napping into my routine before? Well because GUILT. I have this fear that if I stop for just one second to catch my breath and rest that everything I worked hard to build will crumble. Bummer right? Well, I'm over that mindset because napping is a form of self- care and I am here for it! In today's episode, we're talking about the importance of napping, how to do it (believe it or not there's a science to it) and the many benefits of being super intentional about getting more naps into our daily lives.
