“Let’s stop the glorification of busy.”

You woke up at the butt crack of dawn. Got the kiddos ready and off to school. Spent ten hours of your day trying your hardest not to cuss your boss out. Then as you were heading out to lunch the new girl asked if she could pick your brain for a second, which actually took an hour so you missed your lunch break and had to eat at your desk. The rest of the afternoon crept along as you finished reports and went to meetings that could’ve been emails. It’s finally time to go but you have to sit in traffic for an hour, pick up the kids, take them to football practice and then come home to make dinner, do homework and everything in between. You’re tired af. All you want to do is sit yo tail down, eat dinner and watch a little tv. But because you’re a goal getter your inner critic is taking you on a guilt trip for not doing more. You’re overwhelmed and on the brink of tears. So what do you do? Stop for a second. Take a breather, grab a sheet of paper and make an— “I Did That” List. Write down every single thing that you did that day. Why? Well that bad baby is your visual permission to let yourself off the hook tonight and try easier. Want to learn more and how it can help you ditch the overwhelm? Check out this week’s Quick Tip!
