"You've got to be the beginner before you can be anything else!"

-Jessica Lauren

Wouldn't it be nice if that thing you just started working on blew up overnight? I'm talking a million views, a million followers, a million dollars, a million clients-- instantly? Nice huh? Well, let me let you in on a secret. It more than likely ain't gonna happen like that captain. It takes a nice little minute to become an overnight success. And by minute I mean anywhere from a year or maybe even ten. Who the hell knows! 🤷🏽‍♀️ You can't really guarantee when that thing you're building will pop. There is one thing I do know for sure and that my dear is that you cannot get to that level of success you dream of without first being the beginner.

I know sucks right? A lot of us hate being the beginner. We want so badly for our stuff to work right off the bat because we're so used to constantly seeing everyone else's huge mega wins on Instagram. We, legit watch people on the daily; announce book deals, open bakeries, sign with labels and start businesses--ALL THE TIME and it seems like it happened for them overnight. The thing is that a lot of us tend to forget that it took years of discipline, education, execution,  failures, and small wins that helped your IG fave to that point. Oh yeah and the fact that at some point they were a beginner just like you but the difference is that they didn't give up.

In today's episode, we're talking about why it's so important to get comfortable being the beginner.  I know you're rolling your eyes at me cause you've been working hard-- you're like "Jessica I want my wins and I want them NOW! " Trust me I get it. But there are so many lessons to be learned in the meantime, not just the final destination. So if you just started a thing or you've been working on something for a while and still haven't seen the results you were hoping for then today's episode is for you!
