Shoot your shot, but shoot it right!

-Jessica Lauren

Y'all my inbox has been popping lately!  I've been receiving a ton of pitches from some of the dopest side hustlers, entrepreneurs and content creators that want to partner up for a collab. Whether they want to be a guest on The Sunday Jumpstart Podcastto share their story with listeners. Or Makers that want me to review their product on the blog--it's pitching season baby and I am here for it!

Here's the thing though, only a very small percentage of the pitches I get actually win + land the collab. Why? Well, I hate to say it but the majority of the pitches that slide into my inbox are on the whomp whomp side. Most people miss out on opportunities simply because they don't know the do's and don'ts of pitching. And I totally get it, it took me a while to understand the science of pitching before I landed my first few brand partnerships and collabs with some of my favorite content creators! So today we're going to break down how to pitch so that you can score big the next time you decide to slide into someone's inbox!

Topics Discussed In Today’s Episode:

  • Social Media Dm's -Vs- Email Inbox: Which one should you slide into?

  • Brand alignment: how to make sure your brands align before reaching out for a collab or partnership.

  • The things you MUST have in your pitch email (clickable links, example or your work, etc)

  • Why you shouldn't reach out until you've done all of your homework!

  • Why keeping it super short + sweet can help you land the collab + and so much more!
