Episode No. 43 Can't Focus? Try Single Tasking
I'm not a betting woman but if I had to put my money on it my guess is that you're probably trying to do a million things right now. You're answering emails, scrolling Instagram, paying bills and listening to this podcast all while cleaning up your house. You're getting all the things done and can't nobody tell you nothing. Well, I'm here to let you in on a little secret. Multitasking isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Recent studies have shown that our brains hate when we multitask. Apparently, it's not programmed to constantly switch back and forth from a ton of tasks. As a result, we're less productive, more stressed, anxious and overwhelmed when we multitask. Sound familiar? So what's the alternative? Singletasking. In today's episode, we're going to talk about focusing on only one task at a time. It may sound a little silly but implementing single tasking into your goal chase could be the key to boosting your creativity, concentration, and productivity.
